Theology of the Body
Theology of the body is a unique synthesis of the teachings of Christ. It emphasizes a beautiful integration of body and spirit. Theology of the Body shows how the relationship between masculinity and femininity is the substratum of human culture and how Christ is the epitomy of humanity.
Theology of the Body is important for understanding:
The purpose of faith
How to live a morally good life
Love, relationships & chastity
What it means to be a man, woman, wife, or father
Teaching about h
uman sexuality in its proper context- The importance of community
- The purpose of life and one's calling
Theology - "The study of God." Theology of the Body - coming to understand more about God by looking at His creation, especially the creation of man and woman! Theology of the Body reminds us: • We are made in the image and likeness of God.
• We have dignity and worth beyond measure.
• We image God more when we’re in communion with others than when we’re alone.
The Theology of the Body shows:
• How each person is a beautiful integration of body and spirit.
• How the relationship between masculinity and femininity is the substratum of human culture.

Wounded By The World
Have you noticed the increase of pornographic images on TV, the internet and magazines…the rising number of broken homes and relationships…the increase of communication devices but the lack of actual communion…loss of family values..confusion over what it means to grow up and become a man or woman…the lack of courtesy in our culture?
In the beginning it wasn't so...
When most people think of Adam, original man, they think of original sin. However, there was a lot that happened before original sin entered the world. God’s original plan was revealed and the purpose of life and the meaning of relationships was made known. After man strayed from this plan, God sent Jesus to reveal man to himself once again.
Our modern world needs to re-read God's original plan for where we came from and where we’re going. The Theology of the Body is a lens with which we can re-read the entire teachings of Christ and experience renewed vision in our lives. Theology of the Body does not replace the teachings of Christ, it makes them them the focus of our vision, without which we lose sight of what it means to be human, wander and become wounded.
