Mother Daughter Retreat For 2nd and 3rd graders with their moms

Retreat Description
This program emphasizes respect, appreciation and wonder and awe for God’s creation. The purpose is mother-daughter relationship development and preparation for communication about "intimate issues" in the years ahead. During a session separate from their daughters, mothers will be given tools for how to discuss the important topic of growing up with their daughters in a way that helps their daughters appreciate the special gift of becoming a woman. Mothers can use these insights to talk with their daughters at the time appropriate for them. The retreat will be packed with fun, laughter, bonding and learning.

God’s love, the sacredness of life and Christian virtues.
“Blessing Bundles” celebrating the onset of menses and other materials will be offered for sale at the retreat.
Accommodations are provided at the retreat center. Mothers share a room furnished with two twin beds with their daughter. The bathroom and shower room are located on the same floor. The showers and toilets are separated by partitioned stalls.
