Healing the Heartbreak: A Mother Shares Her Hope After Infant Loss
It never occurred to Lisa and her husband Charlie that anything could have gone wrong. The news of their pregnancy was received with excitement and expectations. However, those expectations dramatically changed after prenatal testing discovered life-threatening conditions. Faced with questions and decisions about the life and death of their baby, they reached out for help.
Today, Lisa is a volunteer of Elizabeth Ministry International. She got involved as a result of her experiences with her babies Charlie and Gabby. During this evening gathering, Lisa will share her story and how her grief was transformed to hope. She will talk about comments and gestures that helped her through the difficult times and the places of hope and healing she found along the way.
Today, there is a great need for supporting couples before, during and after pregnancy. Currently, one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage. The increase of prenatal testing has led many couples to face difficult decisions about their baby's life and death. There is hope for those whose lives have been touched by child loss or a life-threatening condition. Whether you’ve experienced it yourself or want to know how to help those who have, join us! Event Details Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2008 Time: 7:00pm Place: Elizabeth Ministry Resource Center 120 W. 8th St. Kaukauna |
